Bear with me here (if I can’t make puns now when can I), but I think we have been looking at the RBB countdown all wrong. I think it was a months left countdown. This is going to be fairly long and I am on mobile so I apologize for it not being under a read more.
But lets take a trip back to October 20th when 1D mysteriously cancelled a show, the one and only time they have done that, and blamed it on Liam being sick. I never bought that Liam being ill was the reason the show was cancelled for a plethora of reasons but I digress. That was also the day that InStyle “leaked” the story of Briana giving birth, by the way InStyle is a Bauer magazine.
That same day is the last time the baby was brought up in an interview, when the interviewer congratulated Louis he was less than enthused. (http://youtu.be/tOgcnLd_6oM) Stephen Nolan also tweeted this day about how it was meant to be Louis and Niall in the interview but Niall was ill.
Also on that day RBB tweeted the first of his countdown tweets. The rainbow hand print, at that point we didn’t think of it as a countdown yet. But I think it signified they have five months left.
The next day RBB continued the countdown with a math problem that used the date to get a total of –4, or four months left.
Three would be December, and that was the Goldilocks three bowls of porridge tweet. This I where I begin to wonder if they were hinting at other events too. Because when I think back to December I think about how it kept giving us whiplash, and how the press was about Louis and Danielle and Briana, and then Harry went to Miami.
Two is the iPhone lock screen that was posted on October 23rd and in the countdown it would be January. It has apps that we immediately tied back to Louis and Harry, such as the underwear app, Freddie Day, Domino’s and Dragopolis because of the bears affinity for Drag Queens. But it also has a Bristol Stool Scale app that never made much sense, because the Bristol Stool Scale is a categorization of feces for medical purposes but the inclusion of this app never made much sense, unless it was in reference to all of the shit they deal with. But yesterday on January 27th, RBB tweeted a picture of him on the toilet reading the book “Coping with Diarrhoea” with SBB floating to the side with a toilet brush ready to clean it up.
All of a sudden that Freddie Day and BSS app make a lot more sense. And at this point I no longer believe in coincidences. So I think that the bears countdown in addition to being a countdown to their return was also a countdown of months left. So where does that leave us now?
The one tweet (which would be February) was a close crop of the messages app with a 1 and right below it was the mini gay boyfriend app. And then the countdown ended, which would be March when we know contracts should be ending, with the Danger Bears Coming Out of Hibernation tweet.
Can someone check in on other beloved british icons and make sure they are doing well? Like is Michael Caine feeling alright? has John Hurt been taking care of himself?
